Delightful in Dalat, Vietnam
We chose Da Lat as one of our honeymoon destinations as my Vietnamese wife’s wish. We travelled with 2 couples who are my wife’s friends and got married on the same day with us. Dalat is located in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Dalat seems to be little Paris of Vietnam. The influence of French architecture can be seen everywhere. The town’s post office tower looks like a mini Eiffel Tower. We love the weather here with 4 seasons in a day.
We were delighted to rent a three-bedroom villa for a reasonable price in Dalat. Many thanks to our friend Ms. Thu Trang working at EVIVA TOUR for arranging it. This meant that we – 3 couples – could all stay together and also have some common space to hang out together in the mornings and evenings.
Our first stop was Minh Tam Botanical Garden. It was so beautiful with tons of different flowers. The way they set up the garden and the upkeep was just amazing. Then we visited the Crazy House (Hang Nga house) which was something that my friends advised not miss. The house was built like a labyrinth with weird and wonderful rooms and corridors; mini bridges were built like a tree-like structure. The architect’s aim was to bring people back to nature and this house also offers room for tourists to stay here.
We took a taxi to Valley of Love – a parkoriginally designed for young lovers. This place is famous for nice and romantic scene. We spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying the scenery of this location. It was enjoyable walking around, taking photos, chatting and showing love. Really nice experience!!!
We were introduced that Dalat Railway station was one of the oldest railways in Asia. We had the opportunity to take a 7-8km journey from the station to the Trai Mat Village. It was extremely worth discovering the scenic view of Dalat along the railway to the village. The train passed by some nice views of the countryside and it was great to see greenery and lush fruit/vegetable gardens everywhere. We had 40 mins at the Pagoda before returning and we were not happy with such short time.
We stayed in Da Lat for 3 days only but really love this peaceful place. Will go back there someday.
